The PILOUS KPM is an automated material loader for bandsaw systems, designed to feed pipes, solid bars and profiles into the cutting process without operator intervention. The KPM from PILOUS is an automated material loader designed to feed individual workpieces into compatible bandsaw systems without operator intervention. It is built for industrial cutting lines that require higher automation, safer material handling and better production flow.
The KPM loader provides fully automated material feeding for pipes, solid bars, U-profiles, flat bars and other circular or rectangular materials. The loading section is tiltable and can be loaded by crane or forklift, allowing multiple workpieces to be stacked before automatic feeding begins.
The system is designed as an expandable, fully integrated component of the bandsaw. It is controlled through a PLC system and PILOUS PilOS operating software from the bandsaw itself, ensuring communication and synchronisation of all movements. Individual pieces are transferred using hydraulic cylinders, then positioned onto an electrically driven roller conveyor before entering the feed vice.
During operation, the roller conveyor speed is synchronised with the feed vice movement to prevent unwanted slipping or material damage. The result is a smooth, automated loading process that improves productivity, repeatability and safety in industrial cutting applications.

Control is handled through the bandsaw’s PLC and PilOS operating software, allowing synchronised movement between loader, conveyor and saw.

After loading, the material is mechanically seated and pressed onto support rollers to ensure accurate positioning before the feed vice.
Smooth conveyor movement
The roller conveyor starts smoothly using a frequency converter, helping guide the material precisely into the feed vice jaws.
Reduced material damage
During material advance, conveyor speed is synchronised with feed vice movement to prevent slipping on the rollers and protect the workpiece surface.
Flexible loading capability
The tiltable loading section allows stacking of circular and rectangular materials, including pipes, solid bars, U-profiles and flat bars.
